The conference theme for our 6th biennial conference May 28-20, 2027 is Heart to Heart: Exploring an expanding clinical understanding of the heart and cardiovascular health in an era of social isolation, conflict, and confusion.
This year our conference will take place at the beautiful Temple Gardens Hotel & Spa, in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan. Temple Gardens is a renowned wellness destination featuring Canada’s largest therapeutic geothermal mineral pool, offering guests a unique blend of relaxation, healing, and prairie luxury. Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Moose Jaw, the spa retreat combines naturally heated mineral waters, rejuvenating treatments, and elegant accommodations for a truly restorative experience. Moose Jaw is located a short 45 minute drive from the Regina airport.
The Healing Skies story:
In 2016, Dr. Susanna Czeranko had a vision. Renowned for her expertise in the history of naturopathic medicine — most notably through her published 12-volume series, The Hevert Collection — she dreamed of rekindling the art, philosophy, and essence of naturopathic medicine within the profession.As naturopathic medicine continues to grow and evolve, there has been an increasing emphasis on evidence-based science, genetic medicine, clinical trials, and rigorous research methodologies. While these advances are invaluable, they also risk overshadowing the heart and traditions that form the foundation of our medicine.
Dr. Czeranko envisioned a gathering where Saskatchewan naturopathic doctors could come together to honour these roots while also creating space to embrace the exciting advancements shaping the future of naturopathic care.
Many of you will remember our inaugural conference, held in Manitou Beach in 2017. Home to its renowned natural mineral lake, this idyllic setting provided the perfect backdrop for our first event. Participants, speakers, and sponsors left not only with valuable clinical insights and tools, but also with a profound sense of renewal — feeling as though they had experienced a healing retreat that truly embodied the adage, “Healer, heal thyself.”It is this spirit and intention that we have continued to weave into each of our conferences ever since.
